
Samir Bhattacharya is an Associate Fellow at Observer Research Foundation (ORF), where he works on geopolitics with particular reference to Africa in the changing global order. Before joining ORF, he was working in Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) as a Senior Research Associate. He is particularly interested in Africa’s security landscape, involvement of different external actors, particularly China, and multilateralism.
Earlier, he has worked with different organisations such as the French Embassy in New Delhi, Saciwaters (Research Organisation) and CUTS International (NGO). He has worked and travelled extensively across Africa and regularly writes for various national and international journals and newspapers.
