The Climate Action Champions Network (CACN) is a regional initiative led by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in collaboration with key partners across South Asia. Across its three convenings—held in 2022, 2023, and 2024—CACN has brought together over 100 emerging leaders from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and India to foster a vibrant community dedicated to sustainable development and climate action.
Designed to address the urgent, cross-border climate challenges facing South Asia, the CACN platform empowers the region’s youth to take a central role in shaping public debate and policy. These gatherings feature a dynamic mix of panel discussions, simulation exercises, and interactive workshops, enabling young leaders to co-create recommendations, share innovative ideas, and build resilience within their communities.
The ongoing series underscores the region’s commitment to collaborative problem-solving and places a premium on the creativity, aspirations, and agency of South Asia’s next generation in the fight against climate change.
