Ameya Pimpalkhare is an Associate Fellow at ORF’s Mumbai Centre. He works on the themes of energy and transportation. His key research interests include: sustainable energy, energy management, sustainability and the Indian Railways.
Ameya was a part of a project — Estimating the Rooftop Solar Potential of Greater Mumbai — done in collaboration with IIT Bombay. He has also organised an experts’ roundtable in 2015 on the theme Make in India for a Solar India. He was also involved in designing a timetable for the Mumbai Suburban Railway Network.
Ameya has co-authored the report: Why Maha Mumbai (MMR) needs a Unified Suburban Railway Zone? He is currently tracking the energy efficiency sector in India and freight business of the Indian Railways.
