Heena Makhija

Dr. Makhija is an Associate Fellow at ORF and specializes in the study of Multilateralism, International Organizations, Global Norms, India at UN, Multilateral Negotiations, and International Security.

Heena was previously an Associate Fellow at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI); Guest Lecturer at Hindu College, University of Delhi; and Research Associate at Council for Strategic and Défense Research (CSDR). She has worked extensively on bilateral track-two dialogues and multi-track diplomacy in the past.

Heena pursued her PhD from Centre for International Politics, Organization, and Disarmament (CIPOD), Jawaharlal Nehru University. Her research focused on examining the power asymmetry and politics of norm – making at the UN. She has published several journal articles and has presented her work at various international forums.
