Natasha Jha Bhaskar is General Manager of Newland Global Group a leading corporate advisory firm specialising in the IndiaAustralia space based in Sydney. Natasha has twelve years of experience in the Indian Parliament in policy analysis communication - advocacy of important central government policies which are of national and international relevance. She has had excellent and deep exposure to the Indian legislative process. She has engaged with different levels of government to study efficient governance and delivery models strategy and implementation plans for building human capital. She has been part of Indian Parliament delegations to national and international conferences (SAARC ASEAN BRICS National Legislators Conference). She has previously been awarded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and has also worked on a research project with the UN Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM). Natasha pursued her MA in Public Policy as a Commonwealth Broadcast Scholar with her thesis on the impact of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA). She has traveled widely in India and has studied the implementation challenges of various Indian government policies in depth.Natasha's current work focuses on understanding the dynamic Indian policy landscape following industry trends across diverse sectors matching Indias priorities with Australias competitive advantages. A major focus of her work is also on changing the narrative around India based on facts and realities which is otherwise based on anecdotal assumptions and prejudiced generalisations. Natasha is a regular contributor for think tanks and publications (the Lowy Institutes Interpreter UK based India Inc. Business Today Yojana Channel News Asia CUTS Washington among others) and is a frequent commentator on India - Australia bilateral issues (SBS Australia Australian Financial Review ABC News Sky News etc.). She is Influencer Australia for Womennovator Global 2019 (supported by Indian Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Confederation Of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) and UN Women) Deliberative Democratic Exchange Fellow 2019 (Kettering Foundation Ohio USA). Natasha won the Young Professional of the Year Award at the 2019 India Australia Business and Community Awards (IABCA).
