Ipshita Chakravarty

Ipshita Chakravarty is at present a Ph.D. scholar in the Department of International Relations with Political Science at Jadavpur University, Kolkata. The broad research area comprises the geostrategic relevance of the Indian archipelagos in the Indian Ocean Region. She graduated from Loreto College under Calcutta University with a First Class in Political Science, in 2018. Following this she completed her Master’s degree in Political Science, in 2020, from the same University. In 2021-2022, she cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) and was awarded with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). In 2022 she enrolled herself in the Ph.D. course at the Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University. She has presented papers in a few international conferences. She has contributed articles to forum and journals such as the Indian Defence Review, The Indian Journal of Political Science, Australian Journal of Maritime and Ocean Affairs, Jadavpur Journal of International Relations, etc.
