Prime Minister and president of Nepali Congress (NC) Girija Prasad Koirala met with former prime minister and president of NC (Democratic) Sher Bahadur Deuba at Baluwatar on July 18 and the two leaders agreed to expedite the unification of the Congress. Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Deuba informed that Girijababu and he were positive towards uniting Congress soon. He said that the taskforce prepared by the two parties will carry forward the dialogue from July 19. He, however, refused to give a date for the unification.
