Meera Venkatachalam is Senior Fellow at ORF Mumbai. She holds a PhD in African Anthropology from SOAS, University of London. She is the author of Slavery, Memory and Religion in Southeastern Ghana, c. 1850-Present, published in 2015.
Meera has worked in Ghana, Togo, Republic of Benin and Ethiopia. Her writings have appeared in a number of academic journals and in the media.
