Aakash Chandran is a New Delhi-based international lawyer and researcher. Currently he is Asia Justice Coalition Secretariat Fellow. He holds an LLM degree in international law from South Asian University (SAARC) India and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree from Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi. Previously he was associated with various international tribunals organisations and NGOs including the UN International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals Global Rights Compliance Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization South Asian Human Rights Documentation Centre and the United Nations Development Programme. Aakash serves as a consulting editor of the Indian Journal of Law and Public Policy. His work and research interests lie in international (humanitarian and criminal) law especially matters concerning international justice and accountability foreign fighters and statelessness.
