Reports To: General Manager - Accounts

Expertise: The Accounts Officer is expected to support the General Manager of Accounts. They should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations. They should possess strong excel and book keeping skills. The Accounts Officer should be comfortable with handling large amounts of numerical data and managing multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Manage accounting transactions
  • Support and prepare budget forecasts
  • Publish financial statements in time
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Coordinate and ensure timely bank payments
  • Compute taxes and support the preparation of tax returns
  • Support compliance with all organisational, state and national accounting and financial regulations

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software especially Tally
  • Advanced MS Office skills particularly Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of regulations and procedures on GST returns
  • Strong understanding of TDS deduction and filing of related returns
  • 3-5 years of experience is preferred
