In the past few years, the Russia‒China relationship has gone from strength to strength, driven by a combination of national interests and international factors. In a changing world order, the entente between the two powers and its potential impact on world events can hardly be ignored.

This discussion seeks to understand how Russia and China view their bilateral ties in order to get a nuanced picture of their policies and analyse possible future trajectories. Given its impact on India, the discussion will also analyse the Indian perspective of the Sino‒Russian ties so as to reflect on policy options that would help it best navigate the changes underway.
