With India actively pursuing multiple issue-based strategic alignments and the UK actualising its goal of a ‘Global Britain’ with strategic partnerships beyond the European continent, New Delhi and London hone the potential to redefine representative multilateralism for the multipolar world.

This dialogue will seek to revisit the India-UK partnership amidst emergent opportunities in the realms of strategic technologies, new trade dilemmas and economic resilience in a post-COVID-19 world. Furthermore, the webinar will seek to understand London’s push for an expanded G7 grouping with India under the D10 framework, and probe its relevance in the democratic world’s contest against techno-authoritarianism. In addition, the webinar will focus on the next steps in healthcare cooperation, against the backdrop of the successful cooperation on AstraZeneca vaccines and a substantial Indian diaspora underpinning the UK’s National Health Service. Finally, owing to the recent finalisation of landmark agreements like the 2030 Roadmap for Future India-UK relations and an MoU on Migration and Mobility, the webinar will seek to define the scope of India-UK security and development cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.

This discussion is being held in association with Policy Exchange, UK.
