India has never really had a clear vision for its engagement with Africa, even after 70 years of political and economic ties. H.H.S. Viswanathan and Abhishek Mishra’s paper examines how the current government’s ‘Ten Guiding Principles for India-Africa Engagement’ may yet be the Africa policy document that India needs. It then sets the tone for what should come next after the articulation of such strategy.
