About the book

This book captures the post-World War II narrative in Asia by zooming in on China and India. Author Pradeep Baijal has compared and contrasted alternative models of development, roles of respective governments, providing a structured analysis along with the role of the United States in facilitating China’s growth. The book captures the trajectory of China’s growth over the last four decades and offers uncommon sights into the key drivers for its growth while critiquing India’s lost opportunities.
