Dr. Basu is an Associate Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Previously she was a Fellow at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA).In 2022 Dr. Basu was a US State Department IVLP Fellow on Enhancing Regional Maritime Governance and Cooperation in the Quad.She was a Visiting Fellow at the National Institute for Defense Studies Tokyo and a Japan Foundation Fellow at the University of Tokyo.
