The roundtable will be led by Mr. Shekar Narasimhan and will be chaired by Mr. Nandan Unnikrishnan, Vice President and Senior Fellow, ORF.

Shekar Narasimhan is a businessman and entrepreneur with interests in the US and India. He has spent many years promoting sound public policy in the United States as it relates to affordable housing and economic justice including testifying twice before the US Congress. He serves on several boards, including Indiaspora and Enterprise Community Investments. His political interests include supporting progressive candidates (including Indian Americans) to the national level when he became the Co-Chair of the Democratic National Committee’s Indo-American Leadership Council. Since then, he has served in leadership roles in the Obama campaign and the Hillary Clinton campaign to help bring together the disparate but fast-growing Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. He is founder and Chairman of the recently-formed AAPI Victory Fund, which aims to influence the 2016 Presidential race and mobilize the AAPI community in battleground States.
