Roundtable on QUAD and Critical Infrastructure Protection

The proposed virtual invite-only roundtable will bring together industry, government, and civil society stakeholders to discuss how Quad countries can achieve regulatory alignment vis-à-vis critical infrastructure protection. There are significantly different regulations governing this between the four Quad members. For instance, the US and India define critical infrastructure, while Japan identifies 14 sectors as critical infrastructure rather than defining the term. While the cyber threat is collective for the Quad countries, its nature, sources of threat as well as context differ for all four democracies. This has shaped their unique policy approach to tackling cyber threats.

In this context, researchers from the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) have conducted a preliminary study on this subject. They will present their interim findings at the roundtable to seek participants’ feedback. Discussions will be held under the Chatham House Rule.

This is an Invite-only event.
