Moving forward the France-India partnership

Participation in this event is by invitation only.

Institut Montaigne and Observer Research Foundation are bringing together a restricted group of high level Indian and French business leaders, government officials and foreign policy experts for a two-day online dialogue.

The event will be inaugurated by H.E. Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador of France to India, and closed by H.E. Jawed Ashraf, Ambassador of India to the Republic of France. The discussions cover four main areas from the angle of France-India bilateral relations:

•  Global order and multilateralism. •  How to have an impact in the Indo-Pacific space. •  To what extent the geopolitical environment affect trends in technology policies and create issues of national resilience. •  The implementation of the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals.

The international context, marked by the COVID-19 crisis, US-China tensions, the digital transformation and its impacts on industries and governance, the greening of economies and the difficulties of multilateral diplomacy, is favourable to enhance the Franco-Indian partnership.
