Joseph Shevel is President of the Galilee International Management Institute based in Israel. Dr Shevel is Member of the Prime Minister of Israel’s Committee on Social Policy; Member of the Environmental Committee of the Haifa Region (under the auspices of the Israel Ministry of Energy) and Director and Coordinator of several joint European–Mediterranean networks in the field of management and economic development. He is also an associate at Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley.
Dr Shevel is a frequent guest lecturer and keynote speaker at the Vibrant Gujarat bi–annual conference. He is also a speaker at Moscow State University — and a much invited guest lecturer on economic and social development through higher education, climate change and the Israeli startup experience at many African universities. He actively works towards peacemaking in West Asia and the Horn of Africa.
