Date: Jul 26, 2017

ORF’s National Security Programme is hosting a workshop to discuss the implications of the standoff on the India-China-Bhutan trijunction. In recent years, there have been several face-offs between Indian and Chinese forces on the Line of Actual Control that marks their border. However, last month's developments appear to be qualitatively different.

The discussion will focus on the geographies connected to the issue, and seek to place it in the larger dynamic of the relations between India, China and Bhutan.

Speakers

Manoj Joshi, Distinguished Fellow, Observer Research Foundation

Amb. Ranjit Kalha, Former Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs

Lt. Gen. (retd.) S.L. Narasimhan, Former Commandant, Army War College and Member National Security Advisory Board
