A complete overhaul of the international financial architecture has long been in the making, but it has never been more urgent than it is today. Reform is essential to help bridge the investment disparities across regions, and support mobilisation of resources and “additional” capital for Global South countries to address escalating challenges such as climate change and mounting sovereign debt crises. Close cooperation and coordination among the different actors of the ecosystem will be crucial. In light of this, the objective of the roundtable discussion is to bring together experts to discuss the future of the international financial architecture and how best to prioritise the needs of the low and middle income countries in the reform agenda.
