Ruma Kundu is M.A., M.Phil and Ph.D. in Economics. Presently working as a senior faculty member in the Department of Economics, Sikkim University. She has been teaching at the University Level for the past 18 years. She has supervised 9 M.Phil theses and 2 Ph.Ds. Ph.D Supervision in Progress is three. Published 20 papers in various reputed journals, 13 book chapters and 3 international books. Current Research areas include Environmental and Resource Economics, Economics of Health and Education, and Economics of Mountain Development. Specialised in teaching Mathematical Economics, Statistics and Econometrics, Time Series Analysis, Research Methodology and Environmental Economics.
