Rashmi Sharma is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Urban Economics from the Mumbai School of Economics &: Public Policy at the University of Mumbai. Her research focuses on studying the evolution status and state policies of slums in Mumbai. Through her work she aims to shed light on the policies that have contributed to the challenge of affordable housing in Mumbai.Rashmi has published several articles in academic journals and her work has been recognised at various conferences and symposiums. She has a keen interest in issues related to housing urban development and poverty alleviation. In addition to her research she is an active participant in various community service programmes where she works with underprivileged children to help them achieve their full potential.
