Richard A. Bitzinger is a Senior Fellow and Coordinator of the Military Transformations Programme at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies where his work focuses on security and defence issues relating to military modernisation and force transformation defence industries and armaments production.Bitzinger is the author of Arming Asia: Technonationalism and Its Impact on Regional Defense Industries and Towards a Brave New Arms Industry? He is also the editor of Emerging Critical Technologies and their Impact on Asian-Pacific Security and his articles have appeared in various journals such as International Security The Journal of Strategic Studies Orbis China Quarterly and Survival.He was previously an Associate Professor with the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS) Honolulu Hawaii and has also worked for the RAND Corporation the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Affairs and the US Government.

Richard Verma is Vice Chairman and Partner at The Asia Group a leading strategic and business advisory firm headquartered in Washington DC. He previously served as the US Ambassador to India from 2014 to 2017 where he led one of the largest US diplomatic missions and championed historic progress in bilateral cooperation on defence trade and clean energy.Ambassador Verma was previously the Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs and also served for many years as the Senior National Security Advisor to the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. He was a member of the WMD and Terrorism Commission and a co-author of their landmark report World at Risk. He is a veteran of the US Air Force and his military decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal.

Ms Rina Sinha is an Advocacy Media and Communications professional with over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing integrated advocacy communication CSR and stakeholder engagement strategies to deliver effective and measurable outcomes in business consulting human development initiatives and public health programming. She has worked with senior leadership teams in Government of India institutions and on large public health programmes: at the World Health Organisation (WHO) the UN agency for health: in the corporate sector which includes a stint in the UK: for Indian and international Non-Government Organisations (NGOs): and as a journalist with leading media organisations.

Rishab Jain is a third-year undergraduate student at FLAME University. He specialises in Business Analytics and Economics. He is passionate about integrating statistics, machine learning, and econometrics to tackle real-world business and economic problems.

Dr Rishika Chauhan is a MacArthur funded Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Science and Security Studies (CSSS), King’s College London. Her research focuses on sanctions and non-proliferation, with an emphasis on the Indian and Chinese perspectives.

She has held teaching and research positions at the University of Delhi, the Observer Research Foundation, the Indian Pugwash Society, Boston University, and Yale-NUS College. She has worked as a Visiting Scholar at the India Centre of China West Normal University and as a contributing writer for Asia Pacific Daily. She has a doctorate in Diplomacy and Disarmament, from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She is also an alumnus of Wilson Centre’s International Nuclear History Boot Camp, and Asia-Pacific Nuclear History Institute.

Dr Chauhan has received scholarships from the Government of India’s Indian Council of Social Science Research, Mandarin Learning Scholarship from the Government of China, and grants from Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Political Science Association (IPSA), and International Studies Association, among others.

He completed his BA in Quantitative Economics from Reed College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. His undergraduate dissertation examined the extent to which open spaces such as parks and natural areas caused neighbourhood gentrification in Portland, OR. 

Dr. Robin Ramcharan is Executive Director of Asia Centre a think-tank based in Bangkok that conducts policy-oriented evidence based research on regional issues. He lectures on international relations at Mahidol University International College in Bangkok. He worked previously in international development cooperation at the World Intellectual Property Organisation.

Robin Russell-Jones is the facilitator of the 2021 St Georges Climate Consultations at Windsor Castle. He is the Founder of Help Rescue the Planet (hrtp.co.uk) and organiser of the Mayday C4 events (maydayc4.com) being held monthly in the run-up to COP 26. He was Scientific Advisor to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Air Pollution in the U.K. from 2017-2021 and is the former chair of CLEAR the Campaign for Lead Free Air. He is the author of the Gilgamesh Gene Revisited (Shepheard-Walwyn 2021)

Rodrigo Fracalossi de Moraes is a researcher at the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea) a research institute with offices in Braslia and Rio de Janeiro. He received his DPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford and previously taught at the University of Oxfords Diplomatic Studies Programme. His research interests include the politics of policy-making arms control the Global South and the role of social norms and networks in global governance.

Rohan is an engineer turned social scientist. He is a recent graduate from Institute of Development Studies (IDS UK) wherein he has analysed technology-led and market-led 'uncertainties' of modern times which perpetuate inequality in the society. He has worked as a Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellow in Chhattisgarh state and undertaken extensive initiatives to reduce livelihood related uncertainties in rural areas.

With 18 years of experience, Rohini Saran leads nutrition-sensitive programs focused on maternal and child health across diverse sectors. Expertise in strategic communications, policy advocacy, and partnership building drives impactful public health initiatives. Rohini has a proven track record in gender-transformative programming, policy dialogue, and capacity building, committed to creating sustainable solutions.

Rohit is an alum of Harvard Business School and St Stephen’s College. He is a British Chevening scholar and has undertaken short professional programmes at University of Westminster, The Times Centre for Media Studies, and The European Journalism Centre, Maastricht. Rohit has served on the board of the News Broadcasters Association, as Resident Editor of The Financial Express, New Delhi; Managing Editor (and later COO) of Independent News Service; Editor-Business, Zee News; Special Correspondent, Television 18; and Senior Business Correspondent, The Times of India. In collaboration with law firm Hammurabi & Solomon, Rohit advised CEOs across the spectrum on policy and the media. He served as Treasurer of The Editors Guild of India and the Foundation of Media Professionals, was on the board of a hospital company and a start up of a leading media conglomerate.

Roma Srivastava is an IAS officer currently posted as Assistant Secretary in NITI Aayog. In this role she is working on the malnutrition and Aspirational districts program. She belongs to the Chhattisgarh cadre with deep interests in rural and urban administration land management and women and child-related issues. She has an academic background in engineering from NIT Raipur a post-graduation in Management from IIM Indore and Masters in Public Policy from JNU Delhi.

Dr. Romi Jain is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Management University of British Columbia Canada. She earned her PhD in education policy studies from Cleveland State University Ohio and her MBA from San Francisco State University California. A China expert she has published in Asian Survey Diplomacy &: Statecraft Asian Affairs Journal of Third World Studies and Economic and Political Weekly among others. Jain has served as a Guest Editor-in-Chief of Harvard Asia Quarterly and is currently the Guest Editor of a special issue of Social Transformations in Chinese Societies (UK: Emerald). In her forthcoming book on China (Routledge April/May 2021) she is advancing an innovative model of geointellect. Jains creative works include nearly 200 poems published in poetry books anthologies and literary journals.

Roshani Jain is a Coordinator— Forums. 

In this capacity she assists in organising various international convenings that are hosted by ORF. These conferences bring together global leaders, policymakers, academics, and practitioners— to deliberate on pressing regional and international challenges. 

Apart from this she also publishes on environmental policy discourses and its intersections with national and regional security, foreign policy, and gender.

Her research interests include South Asian environmental security and international resource sharing, with a special emphasis on hydro-diplomacy.

Her work has been published in various International Relations journals such as E-IRJ.

Roshni Kapur is a Doctoral Student at the University of Ghent. She specialises in identity politics, transitional justice, post-war reconciliation, domestic and party politics of South Asia. She is an author of the edited volume &;Sustainable Energy Transition in South Asia: Challenges and Opportunities. She has also written several. journal articles and book chapters.

Ruchbah was a Research Assistant at ORF under the Economy and Development Programme. Her current areas of interest lie in the political economy of institutions in developing countries- the interplay of behavioral and political challenges in developing economies- and resource management focused on transboundary water conflicts, sustainability and the socio-economic impact of scarcity on beings.

Rudrath Avinashi works with Kalpavriksh and is part of the team that coordinates the South Asia regional-level chapter of the ICCA Consortium. He is also a member of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas.

Rumi Aijaz is Senior Fellow at ORF where he is responsible for the conduct of the Urban Policy Research Initiative. He conceived and designed the programme in 2007. Since then the programme has grown and gained recognition both in India and abroad.

Rumi's effort has been to build a better understanding of urban issues and produce new and correct knowledge for managing urban growth. Collaborative studies on multifaceted challenges are being conducted and roundtable discussions on cross-cutting themes organised.

Leading publishers and the media have accepted his writings and views. The titles of his authored / edited books are: (1) India’s Urbanisation Experiences (2015); (2) Promoting Democracy for a Better and Peaceful World: Regional, National and Local Perspectives (ed., 2015); (3) Transportation Sector in India and EU: Problems, Prospects and Opportunities for Development (ed., 2014); (4) Global Urbanisation Experiences (ed., 2013); (5) Public Health Concerns and Reforms: Perceptions of the Civil Society (ed., 2013); and (6) Democracy and Urban Governance in India (2012).
