Małgorzata Bonikowska has a Ph.D. in humanities and she specializes in international relations (with particular emphasis on the European Union) and communication in public institutions. EU expert, government consultant and academic fellow, graduated from the Warsaw University (Italian studies), University of Paris-Sorbonne (history and political sciences) and the PWST (State College of Theatre) in culture history. Alumnus of two Ph.D. programs: in Poland (Polish Academy of Sciences) and abroad (SSSS, Italy), dr Bonikowska completed a specialization program at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at the Columbia University in New York (Fulbright Scholarship). She is the author of more than 150 publications and tutor of over 100 BA, MA and post-graduated thesis.

Dr Md Farijuddin Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Dhanamanjuri University, Manipur, India. He is the author of The United States Approach to FMCT Negotiations: Lessons for India (2022). Dr Khan holds an MPhil and a PhD in American Studies, as well as an MA in Politics, from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Before entering academia, he served as a Sub-Deputy Collector in the Manipur State Civil Services. His areas of expertise include US domestic and foreign policy, nuclear non-proliferation regimes, India’s foreign policy, India’s role in Indo-Pacific affairs, and the acculturation strategies of minorities in pluralist societies.

Medha Prasanna is Program Coordinator and Junior Fellow at ORF America where she contributes to research, writing and programming on energy, climate, and sustainability. She assists with writing the ORF America’s U.S.- India Energy Monitor which tracks energy and climate developments between two of the world’s largest economies and energy consumers.

Meenakshi Sharma is a health policy specialist with over 13 years of experience in public health. She has worked extensively in the development sector in LMICs and has handled multiple WHO Global Fund and UNICEF funded projects. She has a gold medal in Medical Microbiology and is a post-graduate in Global Health Policy from London School of Economics and Political Science UK

Meera Venkatachalam is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for African Studies at the University of Mumbai. Recent co-edited publications include India's Development Diplomacy and Soft Power in Africa (Boydell & Brewer, 2021).

Megha Dutta is the Web and New Media Associate at Observer Research Foundation, India. Her scope of expertise includes developing & executing social media strategies and website management. Her core duties entail creating and publishing content across multiple social media platforms, website backend updates, and event production responsibilities. She has been continually creating and delivering multiple social media campaigns for the last 4 years. She has previously worked on social media campaigns to drive awareness of irregular migration on multi-stakeholder projects funded by the EU, IOM, and other international agencies. Her concurrent interest lies in community engagement and graphic design.

Dr. Mehak Kapur is a researcher and writer with a background in Political Science, International Relations, Critical Security, and Higher Education Studies. She earned her BA (Hons.) in Political Science from Delhi University and MA in International Relations/Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Switzerland. She achieved her MA in Social Governance and Social Theory from Universität Bremen-Jacobs University Bremen, Germany. She recently completed her doctoral research focusing on International Relations Pedagogy and the Geopolitics of knowledge at McMaster University. The research highlights implications for the fields of diplomatic studies, critical security studies, foreign policy dynamics, as well as foreign policy structures.

Mehr Kalra is pursuing her Master's degree in Development from the Azim Premji University. Her areas of interest include education environment and subjects at the intersection of development and gender. She has previously interned with CPC Analytics Pune and the Netherlands-based WageIndicator Foundation.

Mehraj Bhat is a Srinagar-based Researcher in International Relations and is studying the "Role of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) in South Asia".

Gusti Ayu Meisa Kurnia Dewi Silakarma, or Meisa Silakarma, is a Master of Arts (MA) graduate on Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex, United Kingdom, where she focused her research on social policy, social movement, and robust monitoring and evaluation for development projects. Subsequent to the completion of her MA degree, she worked as a Program Officer of Data Policy and Governance for Tifa Foundation Indonesia during December 2020 - July 2021, managing the inception activities for the conduct of a study titled "Data Governance and Public Service Delivery During COVID-19 Pandemic". Prior to obtaining her Masters, she worked consecutively for Royal Thai Embassy Jakarta in 2017 and British Embassy Jakarta in 2018-2019, where she conducted research undertakings to support wide-range of programme delivery at the Embassies.

Melissa Frakman is Managing Partner &: Founder of EMVC a cross-border venture capital firm with investments in financial technology in India and other high-growth markets. She is based in the United States.

Meryl Mammen is Assistant Editor at ORF. As a member of the editorial team, her work involves copy-editing ORF’s long-form publications and assisting in all stages of the production process.

Prior to joining ORF, she was Marketing Manager at Redseer Strategy Consultants where she worked in the areas of social media, media relations, and events, and managed the Stakeholder Newsletter as well. She has had more than six years of experience in the Public Relations industry and has written for clients in the Consumer, Technology/Fintech, Public Policy and Social Impact/Venture Philanthropy spaces. She has also dabbled as a Podcast Producer and Content Researcher for projects in the Spoken Communications, Parenting, and International Relations genres.

She has a PGP Certification in Public Policy from the Takshashila Institution, a Master’s Degree in English from The English and Foreign Languages University (Hyderabad), and a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Stella Maris College (Chennai). 

Dr. Michael Barak is a senior researcher at the International Institute for Counterterrorism (ICT), where he serves as the head of the Global Jihad & Palestinian terrorism research desks. He is a lecturer at the Lauder School of Government Diplomacy and Strategy at Reichman University where he teaches courses on Terrorism, Islamic fundamentalism, Middle East Studies, and Arabic language.

Additionally, Dr. Barak is a senior researcher at the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle East Studies (MDC), focusing on Modern Egypt. 

He is a senior fellow at the Usanas Foundation in India.

Michael specialises in geopolitical and security risk management with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. With more than 10 years of experience in the field he has held various related analyst, management, and security positions over the past several years. Michael served as the head of Le Beck International’s Intelligence branch, which provides geopolitical and security services to governments, NGOs and global corporations, and is now the Strategic Insights lead at Vinesight, a company focused on threats in the information space.

Michael began his career in this field after completing degrees in International Affairs at Science Po (IEP Paris) and an M.S. in Management in HEC, Europe’s leading business school. Michael brings his knowledge of the MENA region and the field of risk management as well as his sources gathered during his years of experience as an analyst that involved developing contacts across the region.

Michael is also the author of a book “Hope and Despair: Israel’s future in the new Middle East”, as well as a regular columnist at Majalla, a Middle-East-focused foreign policy magazine. Miguel Otero-Iglesias is Senior Analyst at Elcano Royal Institute and Professor in International Political Economy at the School of Global and Public Affairs at IE University. In addition he is Senior Research Fellow at the EU-Asia Institute at ESSCA School of Management in France.

Mihir Swarup Sharma is the Director Centre for Economy and Growth Programme at the Observer Research Foundation.

He was trained as an economist and political scientist in Delhi and in Boston. His book, Restart: The Last Chance for the Indian Economy, was published in 2015; it won the Tata LitLive best Business Book of the Year and was longlisted for the Financial Times–McKinsey Business Book of the Year.

In 2019 Mihir co-edited What the Economy Needs Now with Abhijit Banerjee, Gita Gopinath and Raghuram Rajan. He is also the India columnist for Bloomberg Opinion, on the Editorial Board of the Business Standard newspaper in New Delhi, and an Aspen Fellow.

Miriam Frisch joined UGHE in July 2019 as a Research Associate to the Vice Chancellor. Prior to joining UGHE Ms. Frisch worked for Partners in Health in Liberia and in Boston. While in Liberia she oversaw staff logistics and worked to develop and strengthen operational systems. In Boston as part of the cross-site Supply Chain team she managed logistics for the delivery of medications and supplies to PIH sites. Ms. Frisch also previously served as a Global Health Corps fellow in Rwanda where she provided technical assistance in monitoring and evaluation to the Ministry of Health in Burera District. She holds a Bachelor of Philosophy in Public Health and Urban Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. Ms. Frischs current interests center around strengthening health systems with attention to infectious disease prevention &: control.

Mlissa Levaillant is currently deputy director of studies and research at the French Institute of High Defence Studies attached to the Prime Ministers Office. She is an academic advisor for the training course on maritime issues. Prior to that she was a policy officer on South Asia at the Directorate General of International Relations and Strategy of the Ministry of Armed Forces. Between November 2019 and April 2020 she was seconded by the ministry to the Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore.She holds a Ph. D. in international relations from Sciences Po Paris. Her thesis was on the sociology of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs since 1947. Her current research interests focus on security issues in the Indo-Pacific and Indian foreign and defense policy. She also did a Master of War Studies at King's College London.
