Pranoy Jainendran is a Research Assistant with ORF’s Centre for Security, Strategy & Technology.

His work examines how technology shapes State institutions, national and international affairs, and democratic governance. He is particularly interested in the expanding role of artificial intelligence in public administration and global politics.

Pranoy was previously a Research Assistant at the Human Sciences Research Center at the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (2022-2024).

Pranoy is a Master of Science by research in Computational humanities and Design from IIIT Hyderabad.

Prarthana Sen was Research Assistant with ORF Kolkata. Her interests include gender development cooperation SDGs and forced migration.

Prasad Ashok Thakur is a CIMO scholar and has authored a book and several articles published with The World Bank Asian Development Bank Institute United Nations Government of India etc. His work in digital-agriculture clean energy public finance international relations and electric-mobility has received several awards &: recognitions. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and Aalto University (Finland).

Prasanna Karthik is a strategy consultant and public policy professional based out of New Delhi. He is a Fulbright as well as Clinton Global Initiative fellow. A member of the founding team of the National Intelligence Grid Prasanna was policy advisor to thelate Manohar Parrikar former Defence Minister of India.

Prasanta Kumar Mohapatra is the former Engineer-in-Chief in Odisha Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Housing and Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha and presently, a Senior Expert (Consultant) at CPHEEO, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India.

Prashant Khurana is an attorney based in Mumbai. He works with private equity and debt funds and in the domain of technology-enabled services. He holds an LL.M. with specialisation in Business Laws from the University of California Los Angeles and undertakes work in structured finance and associated dispute resolution. Prashant also does academic research on issues relating to privacy international trade and global anti-trust regulations.

Prashanth Parameswaran is a fellow with the Wilson Center and the founder of the ASEAN Wonk newsletter, a publication which produces twice-weekly insights on Southeast Asia and Indo-Pacific geopolitics and geoeconomics. He is also a senior columnist for The Diplomat magazine, an advisor at the consultancy BowerGroupAsia and an instructor for institutions including the State Department and Pentagon.

Prateek Kukreja is a Research Associate at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER).

Prateek Tripathi is an Associate Fellow  at the Centre for Security, Strategy and Technology.

His work focuses on an emerging technologies and deep tech including quantum technology and AI, along with their applications to defence and security. He also works on nuclear energy and security.

Prateek has two Masters in Physics from IIT, Delhi and the University of Sussex. He received an award for outstanding achievement in Physics at the University of Sussex.

Prateep Basu is an analyst at Northern Sky Research (NSR). He has worked as a liquid propulsion engineer in ISRO at Sriharikota prior to joining NSR. Prateep studied at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Trivandrum and the International Space University Strasbourg.He has published papers in peer reviewed international journals and is a regular speaker at industry conferences.

Pratistha Rijal is a South Asia Associate at The Asia Group in New Delhi. She holds a Master's in Asian Studies from Georgetown University.

Pratnashree Basu is an Associate Fellow with the Strategic Studies Programme. She covers the Indo-Pacific region, with a focus on Japan’s role in the region. Her work also covers maritime geopolitics in the Indo-Pacific, with a particular emphasis on the East and South China Seas. Her research explores the geostrategic dimensions of a rules-based maritime order as well as maritime law and governance.

She has recently completed her doctoral degree in International Relations from Jadavpur University. She is a Japan Foundation Indo-Pacific Partnership Program (JFIPP Research Fellow 2024); a Sasakawa Peace Foundation and German Marshall Fund for the US Young Strategists Forum Fellow (2025); a Fellow of the Daniel K. Inouye Asia Pacific Centre for Security Studies (2021 and 2023); and a US Department of State IVLP Fellow (2017).

With a decade of policy research experience, her research has been published in books, monographs, and peer-reviewed journals. Besides her regular research at ORF, she also contributes to online and print platforms like The Hindu Business Line, The Lowy Interpreter, The Hindu, 9DashLine, The Diplomat, and East Asia Forum, among others.

Pravakar Sahoo teaches Macroeconomics and International Economics to Indian Economic Service (IES) probationers at the Institute of Economic Growth Delhi. He has 20 years of research experience that includes many academic and research institutes in India and outside.

Preeti Kapuria was a Fellow at ORF Kolkata with research interests in the area of environment development and agriculture. The approach is to understand the linkages between biodiversity ecosystem functioning and ecosystem services and to examine how environmental governance participatory economics and the commons and the workings of social-ecological systems influence these linkages.

Preeti Lourdes John is Deputy Editor at ORF Mumbai. She oversees the centres longform publications.

Preeti is an editor and editorial manager with extensive experience setting up and leading editorial teams at major digital organisations. She has previously worked with The Economist Group, The Quint, The Wire and Qrius. As managing editor at Qrius, she led the editorial desk and planned and directed the organisation’s editorial activities. Preeti has also worked in the print media, with publishing houses and in academia, editing content across genres for diverse audiences.

Currently, she serves as visiting faculty for the graduate and undergraduate media programmes at KC College (University of Mumbai) and Harkisan Mehta Institute of Media Research and Analysis, teaching courses on political communication and digital journalism.

Preeti Upadhyay is Senior Advisor State Health Resource Centre AIGGPA Bhopal.

Preety Bhogal is a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at Kansas State University. She previously worked at Observer Research Foundation and Centre for Policy Research New Delhi. Her research interests include international trade WTO agriculture and finance.

Preey Shah is an MS candidate in Computer Science at Stanford University with a focus in artificial intelligence. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Computer Science &: Engineering from IIT Bombay.

Prem Mahadevan leads geoeconomics research at the Indo-Swiss Future Leaders Forum.

Premesha Saha was a Fellow with ORF’s Strategic Studies Programme. Her research focuses on Southeast Asia, East Asia, Oceania and the emerging dynamics of the Indo-Pacific region. Premesha’s other research interests include: Indonesia’s maritime strategy, India and Southeast Asia, India’s Act East Policy, Asia-Pacific multilateralism.

Previously she has been an Associate Fellow at the National Maritime Foundation; Indo-Pacific Security Studies (FIPPS) Fellow sponsored by the US State Department at Daniel K. Inouye Asia Pacific Centre for Security Studies (DKI APCSS), Honululu, Hawaii; Visiting Fellow at Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Jakarta; Visiting Fellow at Lemabaga Ilmu Pengetahuan (LIPI) Jakarta; and Darmasiswa Scholar sponsored by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture at Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya, Jakarta.

Premesha has completed her PhD from the Centre of Indo-Pacific Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Her PhD thesis is titled, ‘Indonesia’s Maritime strategy in the Indian Ocean.’ She has published extensively in peer reviewed journals like Maritime Affairs, The Indonesia Quarterly, The Defence Security Brief, Journal of the Indian Ocean Region, The Washington Quarterly and newspapers and magazines like The Jakarta Post, The Hindu, The Foreign Policy, Australian Financial Review, The Economic Times, The Hindustan Times, Firstpost. She has also published chapters in edited books published by Pentagon Press, Harper Collins.
