With an academic background in public policy and economics her research has focused on social protection public service delivery and digital governance. At DFL she has been taking a closer look at digital public infrastructures and their governance building a conceptual framework to assess their suitability for a variety of use-cases across sectors such as health and education.Prior to DFL Aarushi was leading the Social Protection Initiative at Dvara Research conducting field research on digital cash transfers especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abanti Bhattacharya is Professor at the Department of East Asian Studies University of Delhi. She teaches courses on Chinese foreign policy Chinese History India-China relations East Asia and the World and Chinese Nationalism. Prior to working in Delhi University she was Associate Fellow at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA).

Abdulaziz Alghashian is the geopolitics senior research fellow and Director of Research with ORF Middle East in Dubai. He is known, in particular, as a specialist for Saudi-Israeli as well as for Arab-Israeli relations. Abdulaziz then joined the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where he underwent Officer Training, before obtaining his undergraduate degree in International Relations and Global Security at Nottingham Trent University, followed by an MA degree in Diplomacy and International Relations.

Abdulaziz has taken his specific research focus on Saudi-Israeli relations to the next level by starting a PhD program at the University of Essex, examining the nuances of Saudi Arabia’s policies towards Israel. Over the years, he has gained vast teaching experience by conceptualizing lectures on Middle East Politics, International Relations of the Middle East, Theories and Concepts of International Relations, and Political Theory. From 2019-2021, Abdulaziz was appointed as a lecturer of International Relations at the University of Essex. He is invited frequently to provide analysis on current Saudi affairs in Saudi and international media.

With a distinguished academic career spanning four decades Prof Abhay Pethe has held several positions in the University of Mumbai's Department of Economics such as Professor of Econometrics Lakdawala Chair Professor in Planning and Development and more recently Dr. Vibhooti Shukla Chair in Urban Economics and Regional Development. Most recently he was a Distinguished Fellow at ORF and Senior Resident Fellow at the Mumbai School of Economics and Public Policy (MSE-PP). He has authored two books and has published extensively in reputed journals and also in books and magazines. He has successfully guided 25 Ph.D. students.He was the Dean of Faculty of Arts and Member of Management Council which is the highest executive authority in the University. Amongst other things he was also the Chairman Campus Development Council and a member of the Governing Board &: Academic Council of TISS. He has been a member of the Advisory Committee of the Central Board of Film Certification and Marathi Viswakosh Mandal. He has been associated with Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC) Bombay Chamber IMC and Bombay First. He is on the board of studies of various autonomous colleges. He Chairs the Economics Board at Welingkar Institute of Management and Research. Currently he is a special advisor to the Vice Chancellor of Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE) and a Senior Fellow at the Pune International Centre (PIC).

Abhiir Bhalla is an internationally acclaimed youth environmentalist and sustainabilityconsultant. He sits on the board of the UK-based charity, Commonwealth Human EcologyCouncil, and has been identified by the BBC World News as amongst the foremost youthenvironmentalists globally in 2020. He’s led 250+ speaking engagements and workshops atprestigious institutions like the World Bank, UK House of Lords, IIT Delhi and others. He hasbeen honoured by the Government of India as a Youth Climate Champion. Abhiir resides inNew Delhi, India.

Abhijit is senior fellow at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies. He used to coordinate the National Security Programme at ORF. Abhijit has been a visiting fellow at Sandia National laboratories Albuquerque and the Stimson centre in Washington DC.Abhijit is a defence economist by training. He has written for national and international dailies and has several academic publications and books.

Abhijit was Senior Fellow with ORFs Economy and Growth Programme. His main areas of research include macroeconomics and public policy with core research areas in monetary economics and the political economy of finance.

A former naval officer Abhijit Singh Visiting Fellow at ORF. A maritime professional with specialist and command experience in front-line Indian naval ships he has been involved the writing of India's maritime strategy (2007). He is a keen commentator on maritime matters and has written extensively on security and governance issues in the Indian Ocean and Pacific littorals. His articles and commentaries have been published in the Asian Bureau for Asian Research (NBR) the Lowy Interpreter the World Politics Review the Diplomat and CSIS Pacific Forum.

Editor of two books on maritime security — Indian Ocean Challenges: A Quest for Cooperative Solutions (2013) and Geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific (2014), Abhijit has published papers on India’s growing maritime reach, security of sea-lines of communication in the Indo-Pacific region, Indian Ocean governance issues and maritime infrastructure in the Asian littorals.

In 2010, he assisted the late Vice Admiral G. M. Hiranandani (Retd) in the authorship of the third volume of Indian Naval History, Transition to Guardianship.

Abhijnan Rej is an Indian scientist, researcher, and writer. He is the Founder & Chief Scientist of Tarqeq Research LLP, a research and advisory firm focusing on mathematical and computational modelling of security risks. Rej has published extensively on Asian security and geopolitics. He has worked with 10 state governments across India in developing individual capacities to address urban challenges.

Abhishek Gupta is the Director for Responsible AI with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he works with BCG's Chief AI Ethics Officer to advise clients and build end-to-end Responsible AI programs. He is also the Founder & Principal Researcher at the Montreal AI Ethics Institute, an international non-profit research institute with a mission to democratize AI ethics literacy. Through his work as the Chair of the Standards Working Group at the Green Software Foundation, he is leading the development of a Software Carbon Intensity standard towards the comparable and interoperable measurement of the environmental impacts of AI systems.

His work focuses on applied technical, policy, and organizational measures for building ethical, safe, and inclusive AI systems and organizations, specializing in the operationalization of Responsible AI and its deployments in organizations and assessing and mitigating the environmental impact of these systems.
