The Universalisation of School Education is an issue that requires much attention at the policy level. To generate informed public opinion, Observer Research Foundation organized a focus group meeting in New Delhi, which was attended by academics and experts in the field of education. The group argued that it was a widely shared misconception that the government does not possess the money required to be invested in elementary education. This book carries a verbatim record of issues raised and analysed at the meeting.
