With severe disruptions brought in by the spread of COVID-19, economic migrants residing in urban conglomerates — both in India and abroad — are desperate to go back to their homes. India has started implementing steps to mitigate the problems that migrant workers face, but questions on their physical and economic security remain.

This panel discussion will look into different aspects of governance to suggest possible long-term policies that can address the problems faced by migrant workers in a post-COVID-19 world.
