Date: Feb 19, 2016

The world is experiencing a profound rebalancing of political and economic power alongside a rise in traditional as well as new security threats and challenges. Globalisation is coming under threat as international institutions appear ill-suited to tackle transnational challenges. Rising geopolitical rivalries and multipronged challenges to the international order, such as the rise of the Islamic State, are further undermining stability.

In association with Chatham House, the roundtable will host Dr. Robin Niblett, Director, Chatham House, UK. Dr. Niblett, will share the institute’s analysis of the threats to global order and potential responses.

The interaction will be chaired by H. H. S Viswanathan, Distinguished Fellow, ORF, New Delhi.
