The India Think Tank Forum (ITTF) is a flagship annual initiative of the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), envisioned as a platform to bring together India’s diverse and rapidly growing community of think tanks. ITTF serves as a convening point for cross-sectoral collaboration, critical dialogue, and knowledge exchange between policy researchers, academics, and institutional leaders across India. With each edition, ORF aims to expand this network, bringing new institutions under its canopy to build a more connected and purpose-driven ecosystem of think tanks and ideas.

The 7th edition of ITTF, held in 2025 in New Delhi, hosted  representatives from nearly 50 think tanks, including participants from Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities, reflecting India’s intellectual breadth and regional diversity. The Forum engaged with urgent global challenges across ten thematic panels—from climate change and multilateral reform to digital governance and emerging technologies. Emphasising India’s important role in shaping the multipolar global order, ITTF spotlighted inclusive development, strategic cooperation, and think tanks’ evolving role in enabling societal resilience.
