Subnational Pathways for Climate-Resilient Cities: Cooling, Cooperation, and Just Transitions

This session will convene state and municipal leaders, inter-state consortia, and technical experts to explore how subnational governance can catalyze integrated resilience and urban cooling strategies. Through the exchange of regional experiences, participants will identify replicable pathways for reducing heat risks, strengthening energy planning, and improving quality of life by adapting to and building resilience against the climate emergency. At its core, the discussion will examine how urban and energy planning, innovation, and finance can converge to strengthen multilevel governance and accelerate resilience across regions, cities, and territories.
