In recent years, there has been a growing closeness between India and Georgia across political and economic spheres. In New Delhi’s calculus, Georgia is a pivotal South Caucasian country with access to Southern Europe via the Black Sea. This presents an exciting prospect for enhancing economic partnership and connectivity within the context of the International North-South Transport Corridor. Additionally, a spurt in tourism has contributed to an improvement in air connectivity. Given India’s interest in the South Caucasus, Georgia’s significance will continue to grow.
Against this backdrop of expanding engagement, the Observer Research Foundation is hosting H.E. Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of Georgian Parliament, for an exchange on India-Georgia relations, Georgia’s foreign policy, and security dynamics in the South Caucasus region.
