Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in association with the University of California Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation (IGCC) will organize a two-day training event on Geo-Strategic, National Security, and Technological Dimensions of China’s Rise as a Global Power and the Implications for India. Dr. Tai Ming Cheung, director of IGCC and a professor at the School of Global Policy and Strategy at UC San Diego, will collaborate with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) to conduct this program on examining the Military-Civil Fusion (MCF) initiative of the People’s Republic of China along with perspectives on Chinese innovation and industrial policy. By unpacking these topics, the course will help participants to gain a robust understanding of the goals of the PRC’s MCF system, the implications and risks, and best practices on steps needed to protect indigenous emerging technology enterprises.
