The India – Nepal relationship has grown consistently over the past two decades. The two countries are now prioritising mutual convergences in order to fully capitalize the opportunities for increased trade, investments, people to people contacts, energy cooperation. There is more engagement through frequent high-level visits and a growing willingness to not let some difference derail the positive momentum of the relationship.
In line with this policy of furthering cooperation, from 25 th September-2 nd October, 2024, the Observer Research Foundation will be hosting the second edition of the interaction programme with Young Leaders from Nepal. The programme seeks to provide a platform for young Nepali leaders to gain insights into various undergoing transformations, and network and familiarise themselves with Indian policymaking circles and the civil society. This will deepen the cooperation between the peoples and government of the two countries and familiarise the delegates with India’s economy, society and polity.
