Diplomat Diaries I Conversation with Jan Thesleff, Ambassador of Sweden to India and Diana Mickevičienė, Ambassador of Lithuania to India

Diplomat Diaries – the monthly feature from the Strategic Studies Programme – aims to host a
series of conversations with serving diplomats and practitioners to discuss the key strategic and
geopolitical issues of the day.

This special September session will feature H.E. Jan Thesleff, Ambassador of Sweden to India,
and H.E. Diana Mickevičienė, Amb of Lithuania to India, bringing the Nordics and Baltics on one
platform. The discussion will focus on the security situation in Europe including Sweden’s NATO
accession, India’s ties with Sweden and Lithuania and their respective regions, and broader
geopolitics. The session will be moderated by Prof Harsh V. Pant, Vice President – Studies and
Foreign Policy at the Observer Research Foundation, New Delhi.
