Book Discussion | India and Network-Centric Warfare: The Importance of Cyber, Electronic Warfare and Space Technologies

This event is a discussion around the recently published book, India and Network-Centric Warfare: The Importance of Cyber, Electronic Warfare and Space Technologies. The work analyses specific technologies related to Network-Centric Warfare (NCW) and how well they are integrated into the Indian armed forces, especially the Indian Army. It explores primarily the technological and to a more limited extent the doctrinal and organisational issues that are related to NCW. It relies primarily on open-source material to show how key technologies related to space, cyber and EW are integrated into Indian military strategy. That apart, it explores how frontier technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Technology (QT) are also playing a key role in shaping India’s military capabilities, decision-making and communications. Coming against the backdrop of an exponential increase in Chinese military power, the book lays out ways in which India can address military threats by leveraging key technologies in the coming years.
