Dr. Xie Chao is Assistant Professor at the Institute for International and Area Studies Tsinghua University. He got his PhD from the Department of International Relations of Tsinghua University in January 2018. From August 2018-August 2020 he is a visiting faculty scholar at Jindal School of International Affairs O.P. Jindal Global University. He also held a visiting scholar position at the Department of Politics and International Relations University of Oxford from October 2013-June 2014. Since July 2016 he is a member of editorial team for Quarterly Journal of International Politics. With his vast field study experience in India he tries to understand Indias international behaviour from interactions among its domestic actors and his current researches touch upon India's political system party politics and foreign policy. His broader research interests also include major power relations and international relations theories.
