Thulisile Ncamsile Mphambukeli is a National Research Foundation (NRF)-rated international scholar and currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning University of the Free State (UFS). She is co-editor of the Journal of BRICS Studies and a Review Editor and Topic Editor for Governance and Cities for the Frontiers in Sustainable Cities Journal. She is a member of the South African BRICS Think Tank a custodian of the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences.
