Sumedh M.K.
Dr Sumedh is a medical doctor and a public health professional specialising in health promotion. He has completed MBBS from Mahrashtra University of Health Sciences and Masters in Public Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has worked with Observer Research Foundation Mumbai for over four years and has worked on sanitation communicable diseases and other health issues. He has also worked with Aga Khan Health Service India on behaviour change communication aspects of menstrual hygiene management and palliative care at primary healthcare level.He is a filmmaker and a creative writer and has made awareness films documentaries and designed health promotion campaigns for governmental and non-governmental organisations. His special interest lies in sanitation and hygiene issues and he has worked on several research projects documentary films focused around the same.Sumedh runs a small firm called Samagra Creations that produces plays short films and other creative projects. He has translated books on public health written plays and songs. He currently works as a Public Health Consultant to the National Health Mission Maharashtra under the State Health Advisory Unit.
