Richard A. Bitzinger
Richard A. Bitzinger is a Senior Fellow and Coordinator of the Military Transformations Programme at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, where his work focuses on security and defence issues relating to military modernisation and force transformation, defence industries, and armaments production.
Bitzinger is the author of Arming Asia: Technonationalism and Its Impact on Regional Defense Industries, and Towards a Brave New Arms Industry? He is also the editor of Emerging Critical Technologies and their Impact on Asian-Pacific Security, and his articles have appeared in various journals such as International Security, The Journal of Strategic Studies, Orbis, China Quarterly, and Survival.
He was previously an Associate Professor with the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS), Honolulu, Hawaii, and has also worked for the RAND Corporation, the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Affairs, and the US Government.
