Debosmita Sarkar is a Junior Fellow with the Sustainable Development and Inclusive Growth Programme, Centre for New Economic Diplomacy at Observer Research Foundation. Her research interests include macroeconomic policy, international finance and development economics.

Debosmita completed her post-graduation MA in economics from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University and was awarded the Global Partnerships Network MA Scholarship in 2021. She is one of the founding members, and, was also involved as a volunteer, with Rethinking Economics India’s local chapter at JNU.
