Avishek Konar is Associate Fellow at ORF Kolkata. An applied microeconometrician, he obtained his PhD in Economics from the Ohio State University. He finished his undergraduate studies at Presidency College Kolkata, and completed his MSc in Quantitative Economics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi. He is part of a team currently working on an 'Integrated Water Basin Management' project on Brahmaputra river and is also involved in a project investigating the role of risk tolerance in evacuation decisions during wildfire events.
