During his trip to India two weeks ago, U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter met with his Indian counterpart Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar for the fourth time in a year. The two sides agreed in principle to sign a logistics sharing agreement and to increase collaboration under the Defense Trade and Technology Initiative as well as launch a Maritime Security Dialogue and hold naval discussions on submarine safety and anti-submarine warfare.
