Cyber-attacks on the Internet of Things ecosystem: Threats to pervasive technologies

Internet of Things (IoT) marks the era of machine-to-machine interaction, allowing systems to communicate with each other, to assess and address human needs. The level of automation involved, and the pervasive nature of IoT platforms make their security a critical concern.

This discussion will highlight the major attacks on IoT platforms, and the danger they pose to the Domain Name System, the Internet’s backbone.
