Anand V.

Anand V. is a doctoral candidate at the Department of Geopolitics and International Relations in Manipal University, Karnataka, where he is conducting research on China's strategic culture. He is a recipient of the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India. His other areas of research interest include China's strategic capabilities, China's foreign policy and Sino-Indian relations.

He has previously worked as an intern at the International Strategic and Security Studies Programme (ISSSP) of the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) in Bangalore where he researched on China's satellite programme. He was also an outreach fellow of the Centre for Air Power Studies, New Delhi, where he researched on China's space capabilities.

Anand has authored a monograph on China's space capabilities, and has published his works in various edited books. His commentaries have appeared in various magazines, online newspapers and websites, including Asia Times, Defence and Security Alert, India-China Chronicle, Science, Technology and Security Forum, and E-International Relations.
