ORF Library, during the year, continued to march ahead towards its mission of creation of an excellent knowledge bank in the organization through acquisition, organization and dissemination of library materials. Its range of services included reference, consultation, circulation, document delivery, resource sharing and information alert service. The library has a collection of more than 10,000 books on international relations, foreign policy, South Asia, Pakistan, China, East Asia, West Asia, defence strategy and security and national issues of economics, education, trade, politics and governance, etc. Presently, the library collection comprises books, journals, reports and other reading materials in humanities,social sciences and management.
 

BOOKS DONATED
 
This year we were also fortunate to have received a donation of over 5500 books from Prof. Anand Mohan. They included rare books on varied subjects like international relations, foreign policy, foreign affairs, Pakistan, Nepal ,China, Russia, USA , Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, West Asia,terrorisrn, religion, politics and governance, economics, strategic and security affairs, etc. We express our gratitude to Prof. Anand Mohan for the generous and invaluable contribution. These books are in the process of classification and cataloguing. 
 
E-RESOURCES
 
The library also provides web-based access to important journals 24x7. This service includes magazines and journals like Economist, Time, Economic and Political Weekly, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, Asian Survey, Stratfor, Survival, etc 
 
DATA BASES
 
ORF Library also have the services of DELNET (Developing Library Network), which was introduced for acquiring references and ascertaining the availability of the documents and journals in other libraries. It also regularly subscribes to the SAPRA database which closely monitors events and trends of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia. The library has also taken membership of American Information Centre Library. 


LIBRARY SERVICES
 
Reference, Consultation & Circulation: Reference service helps users to make full use of library resources and services. It provides necessary assistance to users in locating information or document of their choice. It is open from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs on all working days to all who are interested in intellectual pursuits. Sharing of Resource and Partnerships The library maintains excellent relations with other libraries for exchange of books, journals and photocopies for the mutual benefit of the users.
