Background
Wilson John is a Delhi University graduate and an experienced journalist. Senior Fellow with ORF, his areas of research include Pakistan, India’s neighbourhood policy and terrorism. His articles are regularly published both in India and abroad. His chapters on extremism in Bangladesh and terrorism in Pakistan have been published in Unmasking Terror: A Global Review of Terrorist Activites published in 2005 by The Jamestown, Washington. His other published papers include ’Pakistan Under Islamist Siege’ in India’s National Security: Annual Review 2004 and ’Terrorism in South Asia: Trends and Challenges’ in South Asia Defence and Strategic Year Book 2007. He has authored / edited eight books ? An Admiral’s Fall (Har Anand 1999), Karachi: A Terrorist Capital in the Making (Rupa 2004), Pakistan’s Nuclear Underworld (ORF-Samskriti 2005), co-editor of Terrorism in Southeast Asia and its impact on South Asia (Longman Pearson 2005), Pakistan-Four Scenarios (Pentagon Press 2007), The General and Jihad (Pentagon Press), Pakistan: Struggle Within (ed) (Longman Pearson 2009) and Investigating the Mumbai Conspiracy (Pentagon, 2007). His forthcoming book is Coming Blowback: How Pakistan is Endagering the World (Rupa 2009). He has written several Issue Briefs and Polilcy Papers on Pakistan and Terrorism. He writes frequently in the Terrorism Monitor, Jamestown Foundation, Washington, and Washington Times.
