Mr. Vaid did Post Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Management with specialization in Oil and Gas Sector from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, School of Petroleum Management, Gandhinagar, Gujarat; Post Graduation Diploma in Business Administration with specialization in Financial Management from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL), Pune; B.Com (Hons.) from Banaras Hindu University; and has also completed three years of C.A. Articleship.

As a requirement for course work on Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Financial Management), he has completed a project report on 'Investment Prospects in City Gas Distribution in India'. He has also contributed to ORF events and reports on 'Abundance Energy', 'Water for Indian Cities' and the ORF-DU Workshops.
