A Mechanical Engineering graduate from Mar Baselios College, Kerala, Akhilesh has been working in the South Asia desk of the International Relations Department since January 2010. His work over the past year has included transnational water issues, international negotiation & diplomacy and regional trade and economic integration with focus area being Pakistan.

Presently
Presently he is working on projects on International cooperation in water management (Pakistan) and Rural governance (China).
